Solid Foundations

Solid Foundations is funded by the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund through the North East Combined Authority. Solid Foundations is delivered by a not-for-profit partnership of six voluntary community organisations. For many people there are multiple barriers – such as debt, mental health issues, physical health, disability, literacy, numeracy, addiction, past offending, and self-belief. Solid Foundations helps to address the barriers you may be facing and will provide coaching, guidance and mentoring to support you to access appropriate and necessary services

Each person will be allocated a Key Worker upon referral. They will offer personalised support, assessing your needs and guiding you to suitable local training and skill development. They will work closely with you to provide tailored support and resources based on your unique circumstances and goals, helping you to develop essential life skills, as well as improve basic skills. 

We provide counselling and advice services, including tailored mental health support, to help you develop strategies and support plans for moving into work. 

We will help you access volunteer and work experience opportunities to improve your chances of finding employment and promoting your overall well being. We do this by working with community partnerships and volunteering networks in Northumberland.
