CNTW: North East Drive Mobility

Our aim is to help people maintain or regain independence as drivers and passengers following a change in health. At North East Drive Mobility, we also conduct powered wheelchair assessments, and work alongside our Mobility Hubs Advice Service for those who are looking for alternatives to driving. The North East Drive Mobility service offers: A specialist, independent driving assessment, Advice on vehicle adaptations and driver solutions, Passenger assessment, including wheelchair stowage, Powered wheelchair and scooter assessments, Hubs Mobility advice and specialist driving tuition.

Who can use this service?

Anyone needing help with mobility, who needs driving assesments, who has been advised to cease driving or needs help with mobility scooters.

How are services delivered?

Driving assessments are at one of our 3 centres, Newcastle, Carlise and Teesside. Clinicians will come to your home for a passenger assessment if required, wheelchair assessments are presently only from Newcastle. Hubs mobility advice will be given over the phone.
