Glendale Gateway Trust

Based in the Cheviot Centre in Wooler in the heart of Glendale we offer a multi purpose community hub offering many activities. We are a registered social housing provider with 20 residential properties and 6 commercial properties. We run the local foodbank helped by a team of volunteers. We have a dedicated learning space with access to remote learning facilities. We have office space to rent and can offer business set up pods. We have Warm Space at the Cheviot Centre and everyone is very welcome.

Warm Space:

Everyone is very welcome to come along and share the warmth here at the Cheviot Centre. We have to heat the building for the various events and activities that happen here so why not come along, read a book, play a board game, charge up your mobile devices (free Wifi is available) or just have a friendly chat. You can use our kitchen too to make hot drinks or fix yourself a snack.

Memory Lane:

A group for people with memory problems caused by Alzheimer’s or Dementia. Funded through Bernicia Homes this specialist project uses music and art to provide fun and social interaction for people living with memory problems. Carers
are welcome to stay or they can leave their loved ones in a safe and stimulating environment.
We support community initiatives and work in partnership with public, private and voluntary sector organisations.
